Where The Magic Happens
All eyes are on the improv stage on the sidewalk stones. Under a soft breeze night sky, around the statue magicians sit awaiting for the show to start. In that magical haven, the energy lovingly kisses the hearts that sit or stand in semi circle in front of the statue of our poet Luis de Camões. Souls come together, reuniting with loving gazes, heart hugs and loving words.
And that’s how Lisbon has been hosting the 12th edition of Street Magic World Festival. For the past week Lisbon has seen magic happen on the streets in 13 different places throughout the city.
With an outstanding organization, lead with love by Luis De Matos and his outstanding team, 15 magicians have been spreading dreams, joy and laughter to kids and grown ups that pass by. And others that are already familiar with this fascinating event that are present in all the editions. children that started out going to the festival as babies and are now in their teen years. The 12th edition of Street Magic World Festival brought the best of magic created by magicians from several corners of the world, celebrating the human element and the timeless language of street art bringing to the viewers a magical experience.
This is undoubtedly a show that plants magic and joy in children’s hearts but it ultimately is a tribute to the momental resurrection of our inner child. An honor payed for us to never cease believing that dreams can, indeed, come true.
